Our story

Milk with a sense of place.

Old Leura Dairy has grown slowly, across three generations, in the clean, cool air of the Blue Mountains.

A family affair

Keep it close. Keep it real.

Our grandfather began with a handful of cows and a belief that local food should travel a short distance. Today, we still know the name of every paddock and the rhythm of every season.

We bottle and culture in small batches, so the work stays thoughtful and the flavour stays true.

“The best part is knowing where breakfast began.”

Our way of working

Care is the recipe.

Healthy soil, contented cows and good neighbours are the foundation of everything we make.

01

Know the land

We rotate grazing areas and leave time for the ground to recover.

02

Make less, make better

Small batches mean attention to texture, temperature and timing.

03

Keep it local

We work with nearby stockists, makers and cooks.

A little history

The long way round.

1936

A dairy begins

Our first herd settles into the hills above Leura.

1974

Room to grow

A small creamery brings bottling closer to the cows.

Today

Still family-run

Honest food, a light footprint and a welcome at the gate.
